FFXIV: Square Enix Releases E3 2010 Virtual Booth

Square Enix released a E3 2010 Virtual Booth, complete with a gorgeous trailer of Final Fantasy XIV, the sequel MMO to FFXI. Having played FFXI for a couple of years, I have to say I was excited to see my old friends (Tarutarus and Chocobos) and enemies (Goobbues) rendered in stunning graphics and fluid action. Sure it's a promo, not actual gameplay, but it still got my juices flowing.

Also of note: Square Enix is declaring FFVIX a 2010 release. Although this has always officially been the case, there was a lot of hand-wringing due to early Alpha test setbacks and speculation that the release would slip to 2011. It's great to see a very public reaffirmation of the 2010 date.
